| BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB: |
- To assist the Dean in the execution and supervision of educational activities, administrative and financial matters in line with the Faculty's Mission and Vision, and to inform the Dean about the results.
|
| DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: |
- He/She assists the Dean primarily in all aspects of the unit's management and administration.
- To organize the faculty's educational activities,
- The dean has full authority regarding both management and expenditure when he/she is not on duty.
- The Vice Dean is accountable to the Dean and the Rector.
- Conducting interviews with students,
- Chairing the Faculty Academic Council, Faculty Council, and Faculty Administrative Council when the Dean is absent.
- To monitor the appointments, positions, leave, reports, and other personnel rights of academic and administrative staff, and to listen to the requests of the staff in these matters.
- To ensure that the duties and responsibilities of administrative staff are defined.
- Preparing the activity report, strategic plan, internal control standards compliance action plan, and audit report.
- To oversee and finalize procurement and tender processes.
- Monitoring and following up on processes related to horizontal transfer, vertical transfer, and admission of international students.
- Chairing committees dealing with student course compatibility and exemptions.
- To supervise matters related to education and training.
- Listening to and resolving student issues on behalf of the Dean,
- Reviewing student internship applications,
- Planning lesson plans, classroom assignments, and exam schedules.
- To ensure that exams are held on time and that classrooms are used effectively,
- To monitor student numbers, academic performance, and keep statistics,
- To assist students who wish to benefit from the Erasmus and Farabi programs, and to ensure coordination within the departments.
- To organize and control the activities of the units at the Animal Health and Animal Production Research and Application Center (Farm),
- Monitoring the operations at the Animal Health Research and Application Center (Animal Hospital) and intervening when necessary.
