Registration renewal, contribution/tuition fee
ARTICLE 10
( 1 ) The student is personally responsible for following up on registration renewal procedures and related announcements, paying the contribution fee/tuition fee, and completing registration renewal and course selection procedures.
( 2 ) Students can make course selections after paying the tuition fee/contribution fee, if required by law, within the periods specified in the academic calendar approved by the Senate.
( 3 ) A student who does not renew his/her registration cannot attend classes, take exams, or benefit from other student rights in that semester/year. The semester/year in which the student does not renew his/her registration is counted towards the maximum study period determined in Law No. 2547.
( 4 ) Students are charged a student contribution fee for each semester in the first formal education, and tuition fees for the second formal education and distance education. Students who enroll from abroad or through foreign student admission quotas to study with their own means are charged a contribution fee/tuition fee for each semester/year, regardless of whether they are in the first or second education.
( 5 ) Students will not be dismissed due to non-payment of tuition fees or failure to renew registration within the maximum periods. However, students may be dismissed due to non-payment of tuition fees or failure to renew registration for four consecutive years, upon the proposal of the relevant board, the decision of the Senate and the approval of YÖK.
