General Information

The Furniture and Decoration Program offers a two-year education (four semesters, with a minimum of 14 weeks per semester). At the end of each academic year, students are required to complete a six-week industry-based training. The curriculum is designed in line with technological principles, providing the qualifications, flexibility, and diversity necessary to meet the expectations of the industry. Courses are delivered through both theoretical and practical instruction.

In the first year, courses are predominantly theoretical, focusing on wood, wood-based products, and the tools, equipment, and techniques used in their processing. In the second year, greater emphasis is placed on applied education, covering drawing, project development, modeling, and production techniques in the field of furniture and decoration. Students also design and produce various furniture products as part of their coursework.

To enable students to keep up with the latest technological innovations and developments in the furniture industry and to strengthen their engagement with the market, technical visits to furniture fairs and enterprises are organized periodically.

Program Objectives

The Furniture and Decoration Program aims to equip students with both theoretical and practical knowledge concerning the most commonly used and essential material types in the furniture industry, the latest machinery and equipment employed in their production, as well as project and design applications. The ultimate goal is to train qualified intermediate staff—technicians—who are in demand within the sector.
