BUÜ AT A GLANCE

Why Bursa Uludağ University?

Bursa Uludağ University embraces principles such as social responsibility, scientific approach, training of qualified individuals, academic freedom, student support, lifelong learning, and service to society.

In line with the objectives of the Bologna Process, the higher education system of Bursa Uludağ University has been restructured. The university adopts a credit-based education model that emphasizes practical applications to reinforce theoretical knowledge, expands elective courses to allow students to guide their education in accordance with their interests and tendencies, and strengthens research opportunities to enable in-depth studies in areas of interest. In assessment and evaluation, the Relative Grading System is implemented.

While the primary language of instruction at Bursa Uludağ University is Turkish, in order to ensure that graduates are proficient in at least one foreign language—an essential component of quality education—compulsory or optional foreign language preparatory classes are offered in certain programs.

As one of the first universities to receive the Erasmus University Charter, Bursa Uludağ University provides its students with the opportunity to benefit from exchange programs. Participating students may study for one or two semesters at partner institutions, and upon successful completion, the courses they take abroad are fully recognized in their transcripts, ensuring equivalence of curricula and diplomas.
