Strategic Management

Bursa Uludağ University and Gemlik Asım Kocabıyık Vocational School (GAKMYO) shape their strategies within the framework of a shared governance structure to which both institutions are affiliated. Since GAKMYO is part of Bursa Uludağ University, the vocational school’s strategies are generally developed in alignment with the university’s overall strategic plan.
Based on the Bursa Uludağ University 2024-2028 Strategic Plan, GAKMYO’s objectives are as follows:
 
  • Keeping educational programs up to date in line with sectoral needs,
  • Strengthening partnerships with the business world to provide students with internship and workplace training opportunities,
  • Developing educational and administrative processes that meet quality standards,
  • Expanding hands-on training opportunities for students,
  • Enhancing collaboration with businesses and local administrations to improve graduate employability,
  • Establishing strong ties with the job market through sectoral partnerships and alumni networks,
  • Ensuring sustainability through quality management systems such as the EFQM Excellence Model,
  • Creating a standardized education system aligned with the Bologna Process and the European Higher Education Area,
  • Strengthening relationships with alumni.
