Foreign Trade Program

Turkey’s transition process toward European Union membership, the developments following its entry into the Customs Union, its trade relations with Black Sea countries, southern neighbors, and Turkic Republics, as well as the accelerating process of integration with the world in the 21st century, highlight the growing need for well-trained personnel in the field of foreign trade. These professionals should be equipped with comprehensive theoretical and practical contemporary knowledge and skills, have strong proficiency in English, and be well-versed in economics, business management, insurance, banking, and political, legal, and economic practices within the European Union. Additionally, expertise in foreign trade, foreign exchange, and customs regulations and practices is essential.

The Foreign Trade Program has been designed with these considerations in mind. The curriculum includes one year of English preparatory education to ensure language proficiency. The program aims to train students to become mid-level managers in import-export firms, banks and financial institutions, chambers of commerce and industry, insurance companies, customs, and foreign trade consultancy firms.
