We congratulate Prof. Dr. Ahmet Emir Dirik and the project team on their project entitled "Synthetic Histopathology Image Production and Diagnostic Support System with Generative Artificial Intelligence," which has been awarded funding under the TÜBİTAK 1005 – National New Ideas and Products Research Support Programme.

The project is being carried out in collaboration between the Department of Computer Engineering at Bursa Uludağ University and the Department of Medical Pathology at the Faculty of Medicine. Within the scope of the study, an artificial intelligence-based decision support system capable of automatically diagnosing prostate and breast cancers from histopathology images will be developed; in addition, a special software module capable of producing synthetic histopathology images for cancer diagnosis will be created.
