TÜBİTAK 1001 Success from Our University (Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Akpınar)

We congratulate Associate Professor Dr. Ayşegül Akpınar and the project team on their project entitled "Investigation of the Potential Use of Tree Bark in Forensic Botany and Development of an Artificial Intelligence-Supported Digital Application," which has been awarded funding under the TÜBİTAK 1001 Scientific and Technological Research Projects Support Programme.

The project aims to reveal the potential use of tree bark as decay-resistant forensic evidence within the scope of forensic botany and to develop an artificial intelligence-based digital application that supports identification at the species level. This work will contribute to the creation of a reliable and innovative data infrastructure for solving forensic cases.
