As part of the 2nd Erasmus+ Staff Week organized by the Erasmus Office of Bursa Uludağ University between 13–16 October 2025, the senior administration of the University of Gilan “Kadri Zeka” visited the International Academic Relations Office (IARO).

During the visit, a meeting was held between Rector Prof. Dr. Artan Dërmaku, Vice-Rector for Internationalization Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dukagjin Leka, and Seval Şahin, International Academic Relations Office Coordinator at BUU.

The meeting focused on potential areas of cooperation within the framework of a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) planned to be signed. The Kadri Zeka University delegation emphasized their institution’s strong experience in international projects, while BUU representatives highlighted the university’s increasing involvement in project-based activities in recent years. A constructive basis for collaboration in project development was thus established.

In addition, opportunities for cooperation in the field of Turkish language education for ethnically Turkish students studying at Kadri Zeka University were discussed. It was stated that BUU is open to contributing in this area through ULUTÖMER (Turkish Teaching Center). Proposals regarding the development of joint doctoral degree programs were also brought to the agenda. The technical aspects and feasibility of such initiatives were evaluated, and both parties exchanged information regarding their respective national regulations.

The visit concluded with an official Rectorate visit, during which the bilateral cooperation agreement—previously negotiated through a series of meetings since July 2025—was formally signed.
