BUU Marks Strong Progress in Erasmus+ KA171 Projects

As Bursa Uludağ University marks its 50th year in 2025, it continues to advance its strategic objectives in education, research, and internationalization. Coinciding with this milestone year, the University has achieved notable success within the scope of the Erasmus+ KA171 programme.

The Erasmus Office of Bursa Uludağ University has demonstrated consistent progress in project development under the KA171 framework. In the 2024 application round, the University submitted 24 project proposals and, for the first time, secured grant funding for mobility activities with eight countries. As a result, student and staff exchanges were launched during the 2024–2025 academic year with institutions in Kosovo, Azerbaijan, Algeria, Morocco, Lebanon, Tunisia, Jordan, and The Gambia. This milestone was celebrated through a dedicated event held in collaboration with participating students.

In the most recent application round (2025), the University’s success has expanded significantly. Of the 24 country-specific projects submitted to the Turkish National Agency, 16 were awarded funding—several representing new Erasmus+ partnerships for the University and further diversifying its international academic network.

The countries approved for KA171 funding in 2025 include: the United States of America, Argentina, Albania, Azerbaijan, Montenegro, Kyrgyzstan, the Maldives, Mauritius, Egypt, Moldova, Niger, Tunisia, Ukraine, and New Zealand.

This international achievement underscores the growing impact of its internationalization strategy. Bursa Uludağ University remains committed to enhancing global academic collaboration and continues to provide its students and academic staff with increasing access to international mobility opportunities through structured and diversified partnerships.

As part of its global engagement, Bursa Uludağ University actively signs Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with institutions across the world.  MoUs with partners located in countries eligible for Erasmus+ KA171 are forwarded to the Erasmus Office for further evaluation and potential inclusion in future project proposals.
