The 2nd National Symposium on Performing and Visual Arts, organized by the Bursa Uludağ University (BUÜ) Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Performing Arts, will be held from April 3–5, 2026.
Centered around the theme "The Future of Art and the Artist," the symposium aims to bring together artists and scholars working in the fields of performing and visual arts. It will provide an interdisciplinary platform to present and discuss the latest innovations, trends, practices, concerns, practical challenges, and adopted solutions in the field.
The symposium will feature interdisciplinary and intercultural studies, interpretations, research, and approaches aimed at the restructuring of traditional and classical forms of performing and visual arts by contemporary practitioners.
Aims and Scope: In addition to exploring new orientations and practices in artistic production through an interdisciplinary lens, the symposium aims to discuss:

The current position of performing arts in an ever-evolving technological era.

Performing and visual arts as a nexus of intersection and dialogue between cultures.

Current education and training methodologies and applications in the field.

Building foundations for future collaborations within a multicultural and interdisciplinary artistic environment.
Submission Guidelines: Applied and theoretical studies in performing and visual arts will be presented as oral presentations. Full-text papers will be published in a proceedings e-book. Presentations may be delivered in both Turkish and English.
