BURSA ULUDAĞ UNIVERSITY GUIDANCE AND PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELING STUDENT SOCIETY
The Psychological Counseling and Guidance Student Society was established in 2008 by faculty members and students of the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling at Uludağ University. Initially focusing its activities on students in the field of psychological counseling and guidance, the Society gradually expanded its membership and broadened the scope of its activities. Through its diverse range of initiatives, the Society has contributed to the personal and professional development of both students and practitioners in the field.
Since its establishment, the Society has organized three major Psychological Counseling and Guidance Summits in 2017, 2018, and 2019, as well as numerous training programs, workshops, seminars, conferences, and orientation activities. In addition to supporting students in achieving their career goals, the Society promotes social interaction among its members through social projects and community-oriented activities. The Society continues to actively expand its activities and initiatives.
PURPOSE
The Psychological Counseling and Guidance Student Society aims to contribute to the development of students admitted to our department into competent psychological counselors and school counselors who possess the knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes required in psychological counseling and guidance; understand and adhere to the ethical principles of the profession; keep up with developments in the field; conduct research; ask questions; think critically; and develop effective ways of coping with the challenges they encounter.
In line with these objectives, the Society organizes summits, training programs, workshops, seminars, social projects, educational trips, social gatherings, and various other activities. Through these initiatives, it aims to provide members with a fulfilling university experience from the beginning of their studies through graduation and to support their transition into professional and personal life as well-prepared individuals.
VISION
Our vision is to provide our student members with an outstanding university experience and support them in building strong professional futures across diverse platforms. At the same time, we aim to contribute to the national and international development and reputation of our university in education, science, and research. By following developments and initiatives in the field, generating new projects, and carrying them out under the umbrella of Bursa Uludağ University, we strive to provide meaningful contributions to our country, science, and humanity.
MISSION
Our mission is to serve as a platform that brings together our students, faculty members, and university community, integrates students into the field of psychological counseling and guidance, and provides an environment that prepares them as effectively as possible for professional life.
The Society brings student members together with academics, psychological counselors, psychologists, and researchers working in the field, enabling students to benefit from their work, knowledge, and professional experience. In this regard, the Society encourages students to actively participate in its activities and supports their academic, professional, and personal development both throughout their university education and after graduation.
