QUALITY POLICY
Embracing a university philosophy that positions the institution—regionally, nationally, and internationally—at a level of distinction aligned with our mission and strategic plan; that ensures automation-centered monitoring and certification of the quality management system in accordance with standards and regulations; that upholds scientific autonomy; that contributes to society through research-oriented, innovative, and creative projects compatible with regional development goals and respectful to the environment; and that, through self-evaluation, continuously reviews all processes to enhance performance and efficiency.

RESEARCH POLICY
Supporting scientific, innovative, and entrepreneurial research projects—conducted within or outside the University, involving national or international institutions or organizations—that are expected to contribute universally or nationally to science and to the nation’s technological, economic, social, and cultural development. Converting the outcomes of supported research projects into products and patents to strengthen university-industry collaboration and to maintain upward momentum among Research Universities by increasing the University’s contributions to the country.

EDUCATION POLICY
Using a variety of learning and teaching methods to provide quality education, thereby cultivating individuals who possess an international perspective, critical thinking abilities, and problem-solving skills. Designing and implementing educational programs that adapt to a changing world in order to support both the academic and personal development of students.

INTERNATIONALIZATION POLICY
Increasing the University’s international visibility by viewing internationalization—beyond the Erasmus Program and through bilateral scientific agreements and projects—as a form of academic public diplomacy. Aiming not only to be a “sending university” but also to become a “receiving university,” extending beyond regions with which we share religious, historical, or cultural ties. Supporting the educational and research mobility of our students and academics abroad; encouraging international students and academics to study and work at our University to enhance cultural diversity; and thereby becoming an institution that quickly adapts to emerging and evolving global conditions.

ACCOUNTABILITY AND TRANSPARENCY POLICY
Ensuring that public resources are used effectively, economically, and efficiently; sharing with the public all educational, research, and sociocultural activities carried out at the University; always prioritizing the principles of financial and administrative transparency and accountability; and informing the public in a timely, accurate, and transparent manner.

SOCIAL CONTRIBUTION POLICY
Leveraging the University’s expertise and resources to produce knowledge and services that meet the needs of society; contributing to regional development through close interaction with the community via sociocultural and sports activities; designing and offering educational programs in various fields within the philosophy of lifelong learning; and contributing to community health through modern and advanced hospitals.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY
Adopting a proactive approach to prevent work-related accidents and occupational diseases within the University in line with national and international management systems; promoting a safe campus culture among all stakeholders; and following a policy of continual improvement in the field of occupational health and safety.

INFORMATION SECURITY POLICY
Bursa Uludağ University’s Department of Information Technologies establishes, manages, monitors, and continuously improves the University’s information security management system in compliance with the TS ISO/IEC 27001:2017 Information Security Management System standard. This policy aims to manage all risks that could affect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the University’s information assets.
Accordingly, our Information Security Policy is prepared based on the “BUÜ Bilişim Kaynakları Kullanım Yönergesi,” which is published on the Department of Information Technologies website and approved by the University Senate, and on the “BUÜ Bilişim Kaynakları Kullanım Esasları” determined by the Rector’s Office. Through this policy, we undertake to:
  • - Provide training on Information Security to all personnel to raise awareness,
  • - Ensure secure access to the University’s and its stakeholders’ information assets,
  • - Protect the continuity, accessibility, integrity, and confidentiality of information used within the Department of Information Technologies,
  • - Enable the assessment and management of risks that may affect the University’s and its stakeholders’ information assets,
  • - Safeguard the University’s reliability and reputation,
  • - Impose necessary sanctions—within the limits of applicable legislation—if information security is breached,
  • - Fulfill national and international regulations, legal and related legislative requirements, contractual obligations, and corporate responsibilities toward internal and external stakeholders regarding information security,
  • - Reduce the impact of information security threats on business/service continuity and ensure sustainable operations,
  • - Continuously improve and advance information security awareness.
