The 5th Research Project Presentations, organized by the students of the Coaching Education Department within the Faculty of Sports Sciences, were successfully held as part of the AEB4007 Research Project course, which has become a well-established academic tradition within the department. The event took place on 22 January 2026 at 13:00 at the Prof. Dr. M. Mete Cengiz Cultural Center, with broad participation from faculty members and students.
The opening speech was delivered by the Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Prof. Dr. Ramiz Arabacı. In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Arabacı emphasized the growing strength of the research culture both within the department and across the faculty, highlighting the importance of such events in encouraging students toward scientific inquiry and academic productivity.
The opening program continued with a folk dance performance under the guidance of Lecturer Ahmet Nazım Gürak, followed by a musical recital presented by State Conservatory students Korcan Kurt and Efe Oğul Çakal. These artistic performances contributed a rich cultural and aesthetic dimension to the event.
The scientific evaluation committee for the presentations consisted of the course instructor and Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Şerife Vatansever, along with Prof. Dr. Şenay Şahin, Prof. Dr. Nimet Haşıl Korkmaz, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Canan Bastık Salkım, and Lecturer Bengül Aydın, all of whom made valuable contributions to the assessment process.
The event was coordinated by Research Assistant Mertkan Öncü, with organizational support provided by the students Adem Tarhan, Firdevs Nur Ayık, Emir Kağan Kadalı, Iraz Engin, Ebubekir Erdoğan, Saniye Bilici, Batuhan Kolci, and Batuhan Akın. Owing to the dedication and meticulous efforts of the organizing team, the event was conducted in an atmosphere closely resembling that of a scientific congress.
This year’s program featured a total of 5 oral presentations and 16 poster presentations. The presented projects received high appreciation from the scientific committee, and the awards were determined as follows:

The event provided a productive academic environment in which students had the opportunity to engage with the processes of scientific research, gain presentation experience, and further develop their academic thinking skills. Through this event, which has been sustained uninterruptedly for the past five years, the Coaching Education Department continues to contribute meaningfully to a research-oriented teaching approach.
