Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yahya Yıldırım Awarded TÜBİTAK 2219 International Postdoctoral Research Fellowship

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yahya Yıldırım, a faculty member of the Coaching Education Department of our Faculty, has been awarded support under the TÜBİTAK 2219 – International Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program. Within the scope of this fellowship, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yıldırım will conduct his postdoctoral research for a period of 12 months at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, one of the leading research institutions in the United States.

Ranked 41st in the world university rankings, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign stands out with its strong research infrastructure in the field of sport sciences and its interdisciplinary research environment.

During his research stay abroad, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yıldırım will carry out a project entitled “The effect of different recovery interventions on heart rate variability, muscle stiffness, and muscle temperature after exhaustive isometric exercise in college athletes.” The study aims to investigate the effects of various recovery interventions applied after exhaustive isometric exercise on heart rate variability, muscle stiffness, and muscle temperature in university athletes.

This significant achievement contributes to the international research visibility of our Faculty and supports the strengthening of academic collaborations. We congratulate Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yahya Yıldırım and wish him a successful and productive research period.
