About the Furniture and Decoration Program

The furniture sector is considered one of the leading sectors in terms of the workforce used in production. Because the furniture sector is a labor-intensive sector, the need for qualified personnel to work at various levels in businesses of all sizes across the country is increasing daily. The İnegöl Vocational School Furniture and Decoration Program aims to train the technicians, draftsmen, planners, and implementers needed by businesses, institutions, and organizations operating in the sector. The program has a unique curriculum designed with a global perspective and regularly reviewed to meet current needs. İnegöl's status as an international and national furniture production center offers exceptional benefits to İnegöl Vocational School Furniture and Decoration Program students. Being closely connected to a leading industry in its field also contributes positively to university-industry collaborations. Periodic technical trips visit industrial organizations, providing the opportunity to observe the processes covered in lectures on-site. The program ranks in the top three among 18 Furniture and Decoration programs nationwide in the TYT ranking.

Internship and Workplace Training: The educational process is supported by industrial internships. During the transition from first to second year, students are provided with a 30-day summer "Summer Internship" and a "Workplace Training" course during their second year, allowing them to work with industrial organizations. In the second year, they spend two days a week in a company as part of the "Workplace Training" course. This year-round program allows many students to participate directly in design, planning, R&D, P&D, production, and sales processes. This allows the vast majority of students to find employment before graduation.

Employment Opportunities: The comprehensive and unique curriculum, expert academic staff, and convenient location of the İnegöl Vocational School Furniture and Decoration Program offer significant advantages to graduates. Graduates with knowledge of materials, technical drawing and design, knowledge of production processes, and practical experience can find employment tailored to their goals. Unlike many programs, graduates can work in various processes within the industry without being confined to a single department. Graduates can work as technical personnel in both the private and public sectors.

Physical Facilities: In addition to the campus facilities offered at Uludağ University's İnegöl Campus, the Furniture and Decoration Program has a 2,000 m² indoor workshop where students can participate in the process.
