About the First and Emergency Aid Program

Program Purpose: The İnegöl Vocational School First and Emergency Aid Program was opened in 2020 to train qualified healthcare professionals to meet the needs of the healthcare sector. The student quota is 40+1, and the score type is YGS-2. The primary objective of the program is to train well-equipped healthcare technicians who can respond quickly and effectively in emergencies and who are aware of protecting human health and improving the quality of life. During the education process, students are supported with practical training in addition to theoretical knowledge. The program aims to equip graduates with professional knowledge and skills.

Internship and Workplace Training: Internship and workplace training play an important role in the İnegöl Vocational School First and Emergency Aid Program to reinforce students' professional knowledge and skills. Graduation from the program requires a compulsory internship of 30 working days at the end of each semester, totaling 60 working days. Additionally, as part of the "Professional Practices" course in the 3rd and 4th semesters, students receive hands-on training in 112 emergency medical services stations and hospital emergency rooms, providing them with the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge practically. This process prepares students for their professional lives.

Employment Opportunities: Graduates of the İnegöl Vocational School First and Emergency Aid Program may find employment opportunities in the following areas:
•112 Emergency Health Services Stations: They can work as paramedics.
•Hospital Emergency Services: They can work as emergency medical technicians.
•Private Ambulance Companies: They can work in private sector healthcare transportation services.
•Ministry of Health and Public Institutions: There are employment opportunities in public healthcare institutions.
Graduates play an active role in emergency healthcare services, assuming a critical responsibility for protecting human life and ensuring the sustainability of healthcare services.

Vertical Transfer Opportunities: Graduates of the First and Emergency Aid Program have the opportunity to develop their professional careers by continuing their undergraduate education. They can transfer to designated undergraduate programs through the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS). Paramedics can typically transfer to the following undergraduate programs:
•Emergency and Disaster Management
•Nursing
•Health Management.
Vertical transfer allows students to expand their knowledge in their field and pursue different career opportunities. This process provides significant academic and professional development.
