Innovative course content, a practice-oriented educational approach, and a strong internship network have produced graduates sought after in the industry. Today, the Construction Technology Program holds a significant position in both academic and industry contexts. The program provides students with not only theoretical knowledge but also practical experience in current construction practices. With its continuously evolving infrastructure and experienced faculty, İnegöl Vocational School offers its students a high-quality education.
Program Purpose: The Construction Technology Department at İnegöl Vocational School aims to train qualified technical personnel needed by the construction industry. By blending theoretical knowledge with practical training, our department aims to develop our students' professional skills and enable them to become competent individuals who make a difference in the industry. Our department prioritizes educating individuals who are up-to-date on modern construction technologies, capable of producing innovative and environmentally friendly solutions, and who operate in accordance with engineering ethics. Furthermore, we offer a continuous improvement-focused education approach to ensure our graduates possess the knowledge and skills to compete both locally and internationally. In this context, we offer a curriculum supported by course content, laboratory work, and fieldwork that enhances our students' analytical thinking skills. Our department contributes to the professional experience of our students through industry collaborations and internship opportunities.
The department:The Construction Technology Program at İnegöl Vocational School offers comprehensive training to train qualified technical personnel to meet the growing needs of the construction industry. The program aims to equip students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills to effectively participate in the industry upon graduation. Our program faculty consists of three experienced instructors with expertise in their respective fields. Course content covers topics such as reinforced concrete structural design, soil mechanics, building materials, surveying, and computer-aided design (CAD). The program offers the opportunity to put theory into practice with modern laboratory infrastructure and field applications. Additionally, technical field trips, sectoral collaboration projects, and mandatory internships are organized to strengthen our students' knowledge. Graduates can work in public institutions, private sector construction companies, building inspection firms, and building material production facilities, or they can continue their academic careers by transferring to undergraduate programs through the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS). With its experienced faculty, practice-oriented education approach, and modern facilities, the Construction Technology Program at İnegöl Vocational School offers students a strong professional foundation and unique opportunities for a successful career in the industry.
About Internships and Workplace Training: The Construction Technology Program at İnegöl Vocational School offers a comprehensive internship and workplace training program to provide students with hands-on experience in the industry. This program aims to enable students to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice, learn the dynamics of the industry, and better prepare them for post-graduation professional life. As part of the program, students are required to complete a specific period of internship.
Internships:
• Can be carried out in various areas of the industry, such as building inspection firms, public institutions, construction companies, and infrastructure and superstructure projects.
• Provide experience in key stages of the construction industry, such as soil surveys, reinforced concrete structure analysis, material control, technical drawings, and field applications.
• Help students build professional business networks in the industry and enhance their career opportunities.
As part of this program, our students complete a mandatory 30-day summer internship. In addition to the internship, our program also offers opportunities for workplace training. This training:
• Allows students to specialize in their chosen field and familiarizes them with a real-world work environment.
• It helps students fully adapt to the requirements of the industry by working in one-on-one collaboration with companies.
• By providing the opportunity to work with experienced professionals, it contributes to the development of critical competencies such as problem solving and project management. In this context, our students can select 16 practice hours of Workplace Training courses as an elective course each semester. They have the opportunity to practice in a workplace of their choice two days a week for two semesters.
