About the Accounting and Tax Applications Program

History: The Accounting and Tax Applications program at Bursa Uludağ University İnegöl Vocational School offered associate degree education from 1995 to 2013 under the name Computerized Accounting; and since 2013, it has been offering associate degree education under the name Accounting and Tax Applications.

Program Purpose: As in every profession, the program aims to train accounting assistant staff for professional accountants who are knowledgeable, well-equipped, familiar with legislation, able to use accounting information and software systems, proficient in international languages, and highly committed to accounting professional ethics.

Internship: The ability to apply theoretical knowledge in the professional field in the workplace. The transfer of theoretical knowledge to practice. Internships are conducted in accordance with the Bursa Uludağ University Vocational Schools Internship Directive. 4 ECTS credits are given in the 3rd semester of the second year and 4 ECTS credits are given in the 4th semester of the second year, for a total of 8 ECTS credits. A 30-workday practical internship is carried out in offices of professional accountants and in accounting departments of small and medium-sized enterprises, under the supervision and control of professional accountants.

Workplace Training: The ability to apply theoretical knowledge in the workplace in the professional field. Gaining work experience, practice in the workplace. It is carried out in businesses and professional offices according to the application directive of Bursa Uludağ University Vocational Schools Workplace Training I-II Courses. A total of 24 ECTS, 12 ECTS in the 3rd semester of the second year and 12 ECTS in the 4th semester of the second year. In the fall semester of the second year, 16 hours are given, two days a week, and a total of 224 hours of Workplace Training I course practice is given over 14 weeks. II. During the spring semester, the 16-hour Workplace Training II course is administered twice a week over 14 weeks, totaling 224 hours of practical experience under the supervision and control of professional accountants in the accounting departments of small and medium-sized businesses and in the offices of professional accountants.

Employment Opportunities: A large portion of our graduates are employed in the accounting departments of small and medium-sized businesses, regardless of their field of activity and sector (industry, commerce, or service), and also as assistant accountants in the offices of professional accountants.

Vertical Transfer: Candidates who successfully complete their associate's degree may transfer to the following departments, provided they receive a satisfactory score on the Vertical Transfer Exam administered by the Student Selection and Placement Center.
