Sustainability Education and Research

Aim: To give sustainability education to all of the students and staff of Bursa Uludag University, to have the campus visitors feel the importance of sustainability, to encourage sustainability research at the campus, and make them visible.

Bursa Uludag University supports creating a learning environment on sustainable development for the students, academic and administrative staff at every opportunity. Learning environments are created not only in classes but also outside the classes and it is always targeted to make all of the individuals inside the campus area feel a sense of sustainability. Sustainability information is shared every week on the website that the students and the staff check every day.

It is being planned to give an obligatory sustainability education to all of the students regardless of their faculties. There is also a possibility at our university’s Environmental Engineering Department to study an academic degree in sustainable development. Furthermore, internationally renowned academic research on sustainable development is being conducted by the members of this department. Several other departments at the university also produce research on sustainable development.
