The process of globalisation of local economies has led firms to face the effects of global production
and trade. Today, as a result of the free movement of capital, labour, goods and services and
information in international markets, the quality of the people needed by companies to compete
internationally has also changed with the integration of world markets. Based on this reality, our
Department of International Trade and Business was established in 2012 in order to train young people
who will be needed by our country in global competition.
Department of International Trade and Business started regular formal education with 47 students in
2013-2014 academic year. Nowadays, the desire of students to pursue a master's degree after
undergraduate education is increasing. For this purpose, apart from the undergraduate level, our
department also carries out International Trade Master's Programmes (with and without thesis) within
Uludağ University Institute of Social Sciences. In this respect, our students who want to specialise in
their field after undergraduate / academic career are offered the opportunity to pursue a master's
degree in International Trade.
One of the most important features of our programme is that it is designed according to an
interdisciplinary approach that is necessary for success in global competition. In addition to the basic
courses such as international economics, international business administration, international trade,
international finance, international finance, business English, courses such as environment and human
awareness in global businesses, cultural differences and trade, which are very important in knowing
the international environment, are also included in the content of the curriculum prepared for this
purpose. An important advantage of our students is that they transform the theoretical knowledge they
have obtained within the framework of industry and university cooperation in Bursa and İnegöl, which
constitutes a very important place in terms of the export potential of our country, into practice with
internship opportunities and have many job opportunities after graduation. As a result of both
theoretical and practical four-year education
Graduates of the Department of International Trade and Business have job opportunities in many
fields both in national and international markets. In this context, they can work in foreign trade,
accounting, financing, production, human resources, logistics, management, marketing departments of
national/international companies, international organisations such as the World Trade Organisation,
UN, EU, banks and professional organisations such as chambers of commerce and industry. In
addition, they have job opportunities in many fields such as Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade,
Undersecretariat of Treasury, SPO, Turkey's Foreign Representative Offices, development agencies.
