Dear Researcher,
As the Bursa Uludağ University Applied Research Center for Turkic States and Relative Communities (TÜDAM) we are excited to launch the Turkish Communities Symposium Series. The theme of the symposium in 2025 will focus on the Turks of Iran. The goal of the symposium is to engage in academic discussions on the history, language, literature, culture, and social structure of Turkish communities living in the Iranian region and share the results of current research in this field with the public. With this symposium, we aim to closely explore the historical processes, cultural identities, and socio-economic structures of Turkish communities in Iran from an interdisciplinary perspective, recognizing the rich heritage these communities have carried from the past to the present. We also aim to provide new scientific perspectives based on common history and culture, while evaluating new opportunities for cultural interaction.
We would be pleased to have you join us at the Turkish Communities Symposium Series I: The Turks of Iran, which will be held at the Prof. Dr. M. Mete Cengiz Cultural Center of Bursa Uludağ University on May 22-23, 2025.
