On April 29, 2025, a cooperation agreement (MoU) was signed between Bursa Uludağ University and M. Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University, adding a new dimension to BUU's ongoing international collaboration efforts.

Research-Oriented Collaboration and Exchange Opportunities

In line with its identity as a research university, BUU aims to strengthen international research cooperation through this agreement. The protocol includes plans for joint research projects, scientific meetings, and various academic events. Should M. Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University join the Orhun Exchange Program, student and academic staff mobility between the two institutions is also anticipated.

This collaboration was initiated through the efforts of Prof. Dr. Salih Çepni, Dean of the Faculty of Education, and will initially focus on building a comprehensive cooperation model within the faculty.

Expanding Engagement with Kazakhstan

Bursa Uludağ University continues to broaden its academic partnerships in Kazakhstan, currently maintaining five bilateral agreements (MoUs) with higher education institutions in the country. In addition, student and faculty exchanges are actively carried out through the Orhun Exchange Program. These relations are a key component of the university’s internationalization strategy, contributing to long-term partnerships grounded in shared historical and cultural ties with the Turkic world.
