TESYEV Higher Education Scholarship

 

The Turkish Sports Aid and Education Foundation for the Disabled (TESYEV) provides scholarships to our successful and reliable disabled students with strong character, who are in need of financial support while pursuing associate, undergraduate, or graduate degrees, are committed to Atatürk's principles and revolutions, and possess national sentiments. These scholarships, provided that the necessary conditions are met, are paid for 9 months each year from October to June. The scholarship will continue until the student graduates, provided that no circumstances arise to prevent the payment, and there will be no expectation of reciprocation or post-graduation repayment from the student.

The conditions for candidacy for a TESYEV Scholarship are as follows:

  1. Must have a disability level of 40% or higher.

  2. Must be a citizen of the Republic of Turkey.

  3. The family must be in need of financial support based on assets and income status, and the applicant must not be over 30 years of age or married.

  4. Must not be employed in any income-generating job and must not have any income-generating assets.

  5. Must not be receiving a scholarship from any institution other than TESYEV. (A student loan from the Credit and Dormitories Institution is permissible).

  6. Must be enrolled in formal (full-time) education.

  7. Must apply in the year of enrollment or, if applying from an intermediate year, must not be in their final year. (Excluding second-year associate degree students at vocational colleges).

Scholarship applications must be made through the scholarship commission established within the student's own educational institution. The application form can be obtained from TESYEV's website (www.tesyev.org), its office, or the educational institution where the announcement was made. Forms must be filled out completely and accurately and submitted with the required supporting documents to the relevant scholarship office of the educational institution by October 31, 2025. Personal applications made directly to TESYEV will be considered invalid.

Documents to be attached to the application form:

  1. For applicants newly enrolled in higher education: A copy of the YKS (Higher Education Institutions Exam) result document (obtainable from e-Devlet or ÖSYM), and a student certificate showing the institution and class of enrollment.

  2. For applicants in intermediate years: A transcript showing the courses taken, grades, and cumulative grade point average throughout their studies, and a student certificate.

  3. A "Detailed Certificate of Population Registration" obtained from the Civil Registry Office (a document showing all family members).

  4. A "Certificate of Residence and Other Address" showing the family's place of residence (obtainable from e-Devlet, the Turkish e-Government portal).

  5. A photocopy of the National ID card.

  6. 2 passport-sized photos (must have been taken in the last six months, with name and surname written on the back).

  7. A criminal record certificate (obtainable from e-Devlet).

  8. A medical report from a State Hospital indicating the percentage of disability.

  9. A document showing the title deed information for the mother, father, and student. If property exists, a detailed list of each property; if not, a printout/screenshot from e-Devlet showing no property is registered under their names (must be obtained from e-Devlet).

  10. If the mother, father, or student owns a vehicle, the vehicle registration certificate; if not, a printout/screenshot from e-Devlet showing no vehicle is registered under their names (must be obtained from e-Devlet).

  11. If applicable, a certificate of income assessment and its result from a social assistance and solidarity foundation for the mother, father, or student.

  12. The salary or wage slip for working parents.

  13. For non-working parents, a document showing they are not registered with the SGK (Social Security Institution) (obtainable from e-Devlet).

  14. For retired parents, a document showing their monthly pension (obtainable from e-Devlet).

  15. Photocopies of income and property tax returns, if any.

  16. A student certificate for any siblings who are students.

  17. A photocopy of the İş Bankası bank account passbook.
