Our department's faculty member, Prof. Dr. Hasan Basri Öcalan, was a guest on the Mevlid Night program broadcast by TRT Avaz. In the program, which he attended with Prof. Dr. Bilal Kemikli and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Yurtsever, they discussed the lives of dervishes and scholars who flowed like a river from Bukhara to Anatolia. Prof. Dr. Hasan Basri Öcalan stated that after Islam fermented in the Turkestan geography, it flowed into Anatolia like rivers, and the scholars and dervishes who came to Bursa played a significant role in the Turkification and Islamization of Anatolia. The program then continued with discussions on Süleyman Çelebi and the Mevlid.
