Bursa School of Thought

Purpose of Bursa School of Thought The Bursa School of Thought, realized through the cooperation of Bursa Yıldırım Municipality and Bursa Uludağ University, aims for participants to develop themselves multi-directionally and to dedicate more time to reading, research, and critical thinking. The program aims for students to gain knowledge in various fields through courses grouped under the headings: A) Thought, Knowledge, Science; B) Civilization, Culture, History; C) Literature, Art, Morality. Lectures given by leading figures in their respective fields will also contribute to students' interdisciplinary thinking and work.
Rules of Bursa School of Thought

Attendance to classes is important; students have a total of 4 weeks of absenteeism rights: 2 weeks in the first semester and 2 weeks in the second semester; attendance will be taken in classes.

Students who are absent for three consecutive weeks without a valid excuse will have their registration canceled.

Students are expected to be inclined towards reading books, writing, and acting as a community.

Students who attend at least 16 of the 20 weeks and comply with the general rules will receive a certificate at the end of the program.

Students will be gifted a book for each course, but they will also be expected to read, evaluate, and discuss these books.

Applicants will be called for an interview by the academic board on either October 11-12, 2025.

Capacity is limited, and individuals not registered for the program cannot attend classes.

Classes will be held at the Alev Alatlı City Thought and Art Center.
