VISION-MISSION & OBJECTIVES

Our Vision:
Since the 2000–2001 academic year, our department has been offering undergraduate and graduate-level education. Our primary aim is to create a scientific environment where students are equipped to access the universal body of knowledge in psychology, possess the competence to share, question, and expand that knowledge, and maintain an awareness of local realities while engaging with global perspectives.

Our Mission:
Our mission is to instill the ethical principles of psychology in our students—who will go on to work in a wide range of fields such as healthcare, education, industry, human resources, and advertising—and to graduate professionals who recognize the importance of specialization in our ever-evolving discipline.

The Educational Objectives of the Program:

1. To provide knowledge about the fundamental concepts, theoretical perspectives, historical schools of thought, and scientific approach in psychology,
2. To teach students how to apply basic research methods in psychology, design theory-based research studies, collect data, perform data analysis, interpret findings, and share results with relevant stakeholders,
3. To equip students with basic knowledge and skills related to psychological interviewing and assessment processes,
4. To develop students' ability to generate solutions to local and global problems through a critical perspective based on local and global knowledge in psychology,
5. To promote an objective and humanistic approach in academic and applied work within psychology, without discrimination between societies, groups, and individuals, and
6.  To instill fundamental ethical principles and values specific to psychology.
