The roots of the Department of Early Childhood Education date back to the establishment of the School of Education in 1982. Since its foundation, the department has been dedicated to training qualified teachers in the field of early childhood education and producing scientific knowledge that contributes to the development of the discipline.
The mission of the department is to educate creative, critical-thinking, ethical, and competent teachers who have a strong understanding of child development and educational theories; to generate knowledge through research and practice in the field of early childhood education; to contribute evidence-based insights to educational policies concerning children and families; and to collaborate with national and international partners to respond effectively to the educational needs of the 21st century.
The Early Childhood Education Program is carried out by 1 Professor, 3 Associate Professors, 1 Assistant Professor, 1 Instructor, and 3 Research Assistants.
