The Traditional Spring Semester Concert of the Department of Music Education, organized under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Hatice Onuray Eğilmez, Head of the Department of Music Education within the Department of Fine Arts Education, Faculty of Education at Bursa Uludağ University, was held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the Prof. Dr. Mete Cengiz Cultural Center. The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Erol Demirbatır, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education and Head of the Department of Fine Arts Education, and attracted considerable interest from academics, students, alumni, and numerous music enthusiasts.
Throughout the concert, students of the Department of Music Education showcased the outcomes of their year-long studies and artistic efforts. The rich program, featuring orchestral, solo, and choral works selected from different periods and musical genres, offered the audience an evening filled with artistic expression and emotional moments.
The individual and ensemble performances demonstrated the students’ musical knowledge, technical skills, and interpretative abilities, earning enthusiastic appreciation from the audience. All performances received prolonged applause, while the students’ confidence and artistic maturity on stage drew particular attention.
Bringing together academic education and artistic production, the concert provided students with valuable stage experience and served as a significant reflection of the professional and artistic development of future music educators. In the finale, students, faculty members, and alumni of the Department of Music Education came together on stage to perform the Teachers’ Anthem (Öğretmen Marşı). This meaningful closing, marked by a strong sense of unity and enthusiasm, resonated throughout the hall as the anthem’s words, “May we always pledge to elevate our homeland,” echoed among the audience. The performance became a powerful expression of the future teachers’ commitment to their profession, arts education, and their country.
Following this emotional conclusion, appreciation was extended to the academic staff who contributed to the preparation of the concert, particularly orchestra conductor Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Özgür Eğilmez and choir conductor Lecturer Zeynep Göknur Yıldız. The students who performed on stage were also warmly congratulated for their successful performances.
