Baroque Inspirations at the Department of Music Education:
“Beloved Aria Antiche” Concert Attracted Great Interest

The concert titled “Baroque Concert: Beloved Aria Antiche”, organized by the Department of Music Education within the Division of Fine Arts Education at the Faculty of Education, Bursa Uludağ University, was held on 17 December 2025 at the Music Education Department Concert Hall.

Featuring Lect. Dr. Çiğdem Yiğit and students of the Vocal Performance Class, with piano accompaniment by Lect. Lale Necef, the concert presented a distinguished musical program composed of well-loved works from the Baroque period. During the concert, selected compositions by prominent Baroque composers such as Durante, Gasparini, Scarlatti, Bononcini, Stradella, Marcello, and Pergolesi were successfully performed. The students’ interpretations, which reflected the stylistic characteristics of the Baroque era, as well as their period-appropriate costumes, drew particular attention.

The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Salih Çepni, and the Vice Dean and Head of the Division of Fine Arts Education, Prof. Dr. Rasim Erol Demirbatır. The administrators followed the students’ stage performances with great interest and, at the end of the concert, presented flowers to those who contributed to the event.

In addition to providing a valuable platform for enhancing our students’ stage experience, such concerts make significant contributions to the cultural and artistic life of both our university and the city. These concert activities will continue on a regular basis.
