Outstanding Achievement by Our Department in the TÜBİTAK 2209-A Program!

Significant Contribution from Our Department through TÜBİTAK 2209-A Program: 5 Student Projects Awarded Funding

The results of the 2024/1 application period of the 2209-A Research Projects Support Programme for Undergraduate Students—coordinated by the Scientist Support Department (BİDEB) of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK)—were announced on April 8, 2025. The primary objective of the program is to encourage the active participation of university students in scientific research processes and to foster their competencies in scientific thinking.

Within this framework, a total of five research projects prepared by students from the Department of Physical Education and Sport at Faculty of Sport Sciences under the academic supervision of our esteemed department members, have been deemed eligible for funding by TÜBİTAK. These projects, which address diverse themes such as sport performance, motor skills, inclusive education, cognitive development, and applied neuroscience, reflect a significant achievement in terms of project acceptance numbers and contribute meaningfully to the cultivation of a scientific research culture within our institution.

Through their involvement in these projects, our students will gain first-hand experience in scientific research processes, thereby enhancing their academic competencies and critical inquiry skills. Our department remains committed to promoting student-centered scientific engagement and supporting future scholars in their academic journeys.

We extend our sincere congratulations to all department members who have contributed to these projects through dedicated mentorship, as well as to the students whose projects have been selected for funding. We wish them continued success in their academic and scientific endeavors.
