History and Information

Established on 06.04.1999 in accordance with Article 7/d-2 of Law No. 2547 amended by Law No. 2880; In the 2000-2001 Academic Year, a total of 42 students, 31 students in the Textile Program and 11 students in the Foundry Program, two instructors and two administrative staff, started education in a building with a total usage area of 3500 m2, which was previously used as a detention house and then as a cold storage. In 2014, Orhangazi Municipality and Orhangazi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, under the leadership of Orhangazi Municipality and Orhangazi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, started to search for a new vocational high school building worthy of the district, and Asil Çelik Factory, which operates in Orhangazi, promised to build a new building on 9000 m2 of the 65000 m2 area allocated free of charge by Yeniköy Municipality, which was then a town. Later, the construction of new buildings was started with a tripartite protocol between the Asil Çelik Factory, Bursa Uludağ University and Orhangazi University Building and Sustenance Association.  The name of the vocational school was changed to Bursa Uludağ University Orhangazi Yeniköy Asil Çelik Vocational School in 2016 with the decision of the Council of Ministers in accordance with this protocol.

It continues its education and training activities in a total of five programs.  There are 15 lecturers, seven of whom are PhD and eight of whom are master's graduates, and 11 administrative staff. Faculty members who are experts in their fields from various units of our university and experienced engineers working in the industry also contribute to our education.

 

Our School of Higher Education was established on a total of 9000 m2 closed 3000 m2 usable open area, including the Administrative Building and Classroom buildings (A and B Block). The remaining 53000 m2 of vacant land is reserved for workshops, indoor gymnasium and male-female student dormitories, which are planned to be built in the future. There are 12 classrooms with different capacities, 6 workshops, 4 laboratories, 2 mini lecture halls, a library-reading room with a capacity of 100 people, a cafeteria with a capacity of 200 people, a student cafeteria for 160 people, a staff cafeteria for 60 people and 2 prayer rooms (male and female). Transportation to the school is carried out by Yeniköy Minibuses departing from Orhangazi district terminal every 15 minutes. A cafeteria serves to meet the food and beverage needs of the students.

 

Within the framework of the quality studies initiated to increase the satisfaction of both our employees and students, our school has received ISO 9001:2015 Quality Certificate.
