Founded in 1993, the Department of Architecture operated within the Faculty of Engineering-Architecture until 2013. The faculty of Architecture was separated from the Faculty of Engineering in 2013 and continued its education with the Department of Architecture.

There are five studio units; 1 seminar hall; 1 computer laboratory, 1 conservation laboratory; 1 student canteen; 1 janitor's room; 1 technical volume and exhibition area on the ground floor; academic and administrative staff rooms; multi-purpose hall (including social area); 2 seminar rooms and a free space used for seminars, workshops, exhibition activities, and studio studies, as well as a material display area and archive areas on the roof floor.

There are compulsory internships in the Faculty of Architecture and Design, Department of Architecture. Due to the importance of practices in technical life, our students are obliged to complete internships to recognize the business areas related to the departments they study, to learn the activities in the workplaces, and to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired through education and training by doing practical work.

Internships must be completed as two Office Internships of 20 working days each and two Construction Site Internships of 20 working days each.
