Protocol Signed between ULUTÖMER and SamDChTI

Academic Visit to Uzbekistan from Bursa Uludağ University: Cooperation Protocol Signed with Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages

Bursa Uludağ University Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Centre (ULUTÖMER) has signed another important cooperation in line with the goal of teaching and disseminating Turkish at the international level. In this context, on Monday, 26 May 2025, ULUTÖMER delegation visited Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages (SamDChTI), one of the higher education institutions in Uzbekistan.

Within the scope of the visit, a protocol was signed between the two institutions aiming academic cooperation in the field of teaching Turkish as a foreign language. Prof. Dr. Fatih Demirel, Director of Bursa Uludağ University Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Centre (ULUTÖMER), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Xolikov Bahodir Alikulovich, Rector of Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages and Husanov Ulugbek Toshmurodovich, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Languages were present at the protocol signing ceremony.

Within the scope of the signed cooperation protocol, it is aimed to carry out activities for teaching Turkish, developing common language exams, conducting certificate programmes for teaching Turkish as a foreign language, academic staff mobility, joint academic meetings and experience sharing. This cooperation aims to contribute to more effective and qualified teaching of Turkish abroad in line with the internationalisation vision of Bursa Uludağ University.
