We successfully represented our Vocational School at the finals of the World Internet Computer Keyboard Competition, organized this year for the 24th time by INTERSTENO, the International Federation of Information Processing and Communication affiliated with the United Nations.
We participated in the 2026 World Internet Computer Keyboard Championship as the Medical Documentation and Secretarial Program of the Bursa Uludağ University Vocational School of Health Services, with 1 faculty member, 2 alumni, and 4 students. The competition for our Vocational School participants concluded on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 4:30 PM.
Following the qualifying rounds involving thousands of participants worldwide, the 24th World Internet Computer Keyboard Championship Finals were held from March 13, 2026, to April 27, 2026, with 1,155 competitors from 20 countries, and the results were finalized on April 28, 2026. This year, 317 participants from our country and 7 participants from our Vocational School took part in the World Championship.
Our participants from the Medical Documentation and Secretarial Studies program at our Vocational School competed in two separate age categories—17–20 and 21–99—and took a 10-minute typing speed test in their native Turkish language. Four of our participants ranked among the top 100 in the World Championship.

A total of 24 medals are awarded to the top three competitors in each of the eight competitions held in two categories—native language and multilingual (18 languages)—across four age groups. In the 2026 competition, the Turkish National Computer Keyboard Team won a total of 9 medals: 3 first-place, 3 second-place, and 3 third-place finishes. Our National Team also became World Champions as a team. With these achievements, the Turkish competitors have become the world’s most successful team. Of the remaining 15 medals, 7 were won by the Czech Republic, 2 by Slovakia, 2 by Japan, 2 by Italy, 1 by Poland, and 1 by the United Kingdom.
The countries participating in this year’s competition were Turkey, Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, France, Croatia, Hungary, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Russia, Sweden, Singapore, Slovakia, Thailand, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
