The Power of Communication in Healthcare: “Health Information and Awareness Seminars” Continue

As part of the “Health Information and Awareness Seminars-III” organized by the Bursa Uludağ University Vocational School of Health Services, a “Health Communication Training” session was held for future health professionals.

The third session of the seminar series took place on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, in Hall A of the Faculty of Medicine Dean’s Office. The event, featuring Clinical Psychologist Meltem Gülaç Siper, who works at Bursa Uludağ University Hospital, as the speaker, drew significant interest from first-year students. Technicians who contribute to the students’ education also participated in the session.

The seminar focused particularly on communication processes during clinical practice courses and internships, where healthcare students take their first steps into their professional careers. Important messages were conveyed not only to the students but also to the technicians guiding them. In her presentation titled “Communication in the Internship Environment,” psychologist Meltem Gülaç Siper addressed the communication challenges students face during clinical practice in hospital settings. She emphasized that technical staff should provide students with brief explanations, involve them in the process by assigning simple tasks, and create a supportive learning environment.

At the conclusion of the interactive seminar, Clinical Psychologist Meltem Gülaç Siper was presented with a certificate of appreciation for the valuable insights she shared. The event concluded with participants taking a group photo.
