The 1416 Scholarships , administered by the Ministry of National Education since 1929 under Law No. 1416 on Students to be Sent to Foreign Countries , is a long-established scholarship program aimed at training the highly qualified workforce that our country needs .

Within the scope of the program, scholarship recipients are offered the opportunity to pursue postgraduate studies (master's and doctoral) at leading universities around the world in exchange for mandatory service .
