The first course session within the framework of the EU-funded Jean Monnet Module PACE Project was successfully delivered on 24 February 2026 at the Faculty of Education, Bursa Uludağ University. The course will run throughout the spring semester with the participation of 39 registered students, demonstrating a high level of interest in European Union studies.
The opening session was jointly delivered by Prof. Dr. Şehnaz Baltacı, Prof. Dr. Çiğdem Arslan, and Prof. Dr. Çiğdem Aydın Koyuncu. The session introduced the founding principles and objectives of the European Union, as well as the evolution of its activities and policies over time. Interactive teaching methods were employed to encourage active student engagement and dialogue.
In line with Jean Monnet objectives, the session aimed to enhance students’ understanding of European integration and to promote critical reflection on EU values and policies. As part of the project’s quality assurance and ethical compliance measures, readiness and expectations surveys were administered, and informed consent was obtained from all participating students.
This activity represents a key milestone in the implementation of the PACE Project. Information on course activities, teaching materials, and further project outputs will be disseminated regularly through the project’s official website, in accordance with EU communication and visibility requirements.
