Official Launch of the BATEG Service Vehicle Successfully Realized

The official launch of the electric service vehicle integrated with the modular battery pack developed by the Battery Technologies Research and Development Platform for Electric Vehicles (BATEG) was held with high attendance from the university's senior management. At the event, which was honored by the Rector of Bursa Uludağ University, Prof. Dr. Ferudun YILMAZ; Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Cafer ÇİFTCİ; Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Zekeriyya ARI; Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ali Rıza YILDIZ; and members of the University Senate, the presentation of the vehicle was delivered by Prof. Dr. Gökhan SEVİLGEN, Head of the Automotive Engineering Department and BATEG Coordinator.

Representing a concrete example of university-industry collaboration, the project featured a service vehicle donated to the BATEG Laboratory by Pilotcar without a battery pack, motor, or electronic components to provide an avenue for academic vision and R&D studies. The modular battery pack developed within BATEG was subsequently integrated into this vehicle. Additionally, an electric motor provided by the domestic electric motor manufacturer, C Motor Tech, was utilized in the vehicle. Following the briefing delivered by Prof. Dr. Gökhan SEVİLGEN regarding the developed modular battery pack, vehicle integration studies, and vehicle architecture, the Rector of Bursa Uludağ University, Prof. Dr. Ferudun YILMAZ, conducted a test drive of the vehicle.

At the conclusion of the event, appreciation plaques were presented to the representatives of Pilotcar and C Motor Tech for their valuable contributions to the project in line with university-industry cooperation.

We would like to express our gratitude to the Rector of Bursa Uludağ University, Prof. Dr. Ferudun YILMAZ; the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ali Rıza YILDIZ; and the companies Pilotcar and C Motor Tech for their valuable support.
