The Department of Automotive Engineering at Bursa Uludağ University Faculty of Engineering continues to strengthen its international academic collaborations. Within the scope of the Erasmus+ program, a delegation of faculty members from the University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev" in Bulgaria paid an official visit to our department to evaluate bilateral relations and increase future joint projects.
During the visit, the guest delegation was welcomed by Prof. Dr. Gökhan SEVİLGEN, Head of the Automotive Engineering Department; Asst. Prof. Dr. Emre BULUT, Vice Head of the Department; and the members of the Department’s Erasmus Commission and faculty staff.
During the meetings, the current student and staff mobilities carried out between the two institutions were reviewed, and mutual views were exchanged on expanding the scope of academic collaborations and increasing joint scientific studies. Following the meeting, a detailed presentation was delivered to the guest academicians regarding our department's modern educational infrastructure and technical facilities.
As part of the program, the delegation also visited the Battery Technologies Research and Development Platform for Electric Vehicles (BATEG) Laboratory, where high-quality national and international R&D studies are conducted. The guest delegation received on-site briefings about the advanced technology projects, testing infrastructure, and current battery research and development activities carried out within the laboratory.
The visit was highly productive in terms of strengthening the deep-rooted ties between the two universities and planning joint academic projects to be implemented in the future, concluding with mutual wishes of goodwill.
