"Mathematics and Hope" the theme of World Mathematics Day 2026 offers us a meaningful perspective as we embark on the new academic year.

Mathematics is the universal language of thinking, questioning, discovery, and problem solving. It plays a vital role in fostering scientific curiosity, analytical thinking, and hope for the future.

As the Bursa Uludağ University Department of Mathematics, we extend a warm welcome to the students joining our department for the 2026–2027 academic year, and we wish all our students, as well as our academic and administrative staff, a successful, productive, and inspiring term.
