Within the scope of the Career Planning course offered by the Department of Mathematics and Science Education, the Faculty of Education hosted the administrators of Çakır Schools. The seminar was held on December 25, 2025, between 13:45 and 14:35, at Bursa Uludağ University Faculty of Education Uğur Mumcu Hall. Ms. Bahar ÇAKIR, Founder Representative of Çakır Schools, and Ms. Ayşegül SAVAŞ, Executive Director of Çakır Schools, participated in the event as guest speakers.
The seminar was organized by Prof. Dr. Nermin BULUNUZ, the instructor of the Career Planning course. The event was attended by Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Erol DEMİRBATIR, Head of the Department of Mathematics and Science Education Prof. Dr. Rıdvan EZENTAŞ, Prof. Dr. Mızrap BULUNUZ, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dilek ZEREN ÖZER, as well as students from the Preschool Education, Primary School Education, and English Language Teaching programs at various grade levels.
During the seminar, Ms. Bahar Çakır shared detailed information on the educational philosophy and vision of Çakır Schools, its distinguishing features, the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme, foreign language education, and the integration of technology and artificial intelligence into educational practices. She also addressed topics such as student and teacher profiles, the institution’s international achievements in IB and DP examinations, career goal setting, and strategies for professional development in the field of education.
Emphasizing the importance of early career planning, Ms. Çakır provided guidance on the competencies students should develop starting from their first year of study and highlighted key considerations for effective preparation for the teaching profession. The seminar concluded with closing remarks and expressions of gratitude by Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Erol Demirbatır, Prof. Dr. Rıdvan Ezentaş, and Prof. Dr. Nermin Bulunuz, who thanked Ms. Bahar Çakır and Ms. Ayşegül Savaş for their valuable contributions.
