Faculty Members from the Department of Mathematics and Science Education Participated in an International Education Event at the University of Hamburg

Prof. Dr. Çiğdem Arslan (Department of Mathematics Education) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dilek Zeren Özer (Department of Science Education) from Bursa Uludağ University Faculty of Education attended the international event titled “First Erasmus+ Staff Week: Challenges and Perspectives for International Teaching Internships”, held in Hamburg, Germany, between February 10–21, 2025.

Hosted by the Faculty of Education at the University of Hamburg, the event brought together academics from different countries, providing an interdisciplinary platform to discuss teacher education, international internship programs, and the sharing of best practices.

Within the scope of the event, Prof. Dr. Çiğdem Arslan and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dilek Zeren Özer carried out teaching activities under the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Teaching Assignments (STA) program for two weeks and engaged in the exchange of knowledge and experiences with international colleagues.

As a result of the academic contacts established during the event, a new Erasmus+ bilateral agreement was signed between Bursa Uludağ University and Constantin Brâncuși University of Târgu Jiu, Romania.

Such international academic collaborations contribute to the internationalization vision of our university, while strengthening the participation of our faculty members in global academic networks, as well as fostering opportunities for joint research and student exchanges.
