The Teaching Practicum Information Meeting for the Department of Science Education for the 2026–2027 Fall Semester was held online on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Nermin Bulunuz, Head of the Department of Science Education; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sevgül Çalış and Research Assistant H. Azize Malay, the department's Teaching Practicum Coordinators; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yeter Şimşekli and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nurcan Kahraman, faculty members responsible for the Teaching Practicum course during the 2026–2027 Fall Semester; and mentor teachers supervising our pre-service teachers at partner schools.
During the meeting, mentor teachers from the practicum schools for the 2026–2027 Fall Semester, including Koç Middle School, Meral-Muammer Ağım Middle School, Özlüce Nurettin Topçu Girls' Anatolian Imam Hatip High School, Özlüce Aziz Sancar Middle School, and Fethiye Middle School, shared their views and suggestions.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sevgül Çalış, the department's Teaching Practicum Coordinator, and Prof. Dr. Nermin Bulunuz, Head of the Department, presented the guidelines on teaching practicum procedures and principles published in the Journal of Announcements of the Ministry of National Education. They also provided information about the implementation process and schedule.
Mentor teachers were given the opportunity to ask questions and share their opinions and suggestions regarding the practicum process. The meeting concluded with best wishes for a successful semester for all teachers, faculty members, and students.
