Article 31
(1) An additional examination right is granted under the conditions specified below to a student who has taken all courses in an undergraduate or associate degree program, fulfilled the attendance requirement, and participated in the semester/year-end examinations:
a) A student who has received grades of (FF) or (FD) in at most two courses included in the grade point average, or a grade of (K) in a non-credit course provided that it is no more than one course, is granted the right to take an additional examination until the beginning of the following semester/year. In units where compulsory internship practice exists, in order to benefit from the additional examination right, it is necessary and sufficient for the student to have started the internship practice.
b) Students who cannot meet the required 2.00 CGPA for graduation are granted the right to take an additional examination in at most two courses in order to increase their CGPA.
(2) The additional examination grade of the student who takes the additional examination is converted into a letter grade by taking into consideration the letter grade intervals in the grade chart of the previous examination of that course, without taking midterm examination grades into account.
(3) A student who meets the conditions specified in this article shall apply with a petition to the department or program chair offering the course within two (2) working days following the announcement of the make-up examination or summer school examination results in order to benefit from the additional examination right. Students whose participation in the examination is deemed appropriate are determined by the relevant board.
(4) A student may benefit from the additional examination right regulated in this article only once within the maximum duration of study.
