At OTOKON2025, organized in cooperation between Bursa Uludağ University and Bursa Technical University,
next-generation engine technologies, electric and hybrid vehicles, hydrogen solutions and autonomous driving systems
were discussed from multiple perspectives.
OTOKON2025 – Automotive Congress and Exhibition, jointly organized by
Bursa Uludağ University (BUU), Bursa Technical University (BTU) and the Bursa Branch of the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers (TMMOB),
brought together academics, industry representatives and experts who are shaping the transformation of the automotive sector.
Prof. Dr. Gökhan Sevilgen, BATEG Platform Director and Executive Board Member,
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şenol Baştürk, responsible for the Social Impact Analysis,
and BATEG scholarship holders attended the event and closely followed the latest developments on
electric, hybrid, fuel-cell and hydrogen-fueled internal combustion engines, autonomous driving technologies,
charging infrastructure, and hydrogen supply and storage.
Throughout the congress, the aim was to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the sector,
discuss existing constraints and develop solution proposals to address these constraints.
The sessions examined, in detail, university–industry collaboration opportunities,
the reliability of next-generation power systems and the vision of sustainable mobility.
The closing part of the programme was held at the BATEG Laboratory,
where participants were given on-site information about the laboratory infrastructure,
ongoing projects and research activities focusing on battery technologies.
