The foundations of the Department of Primary Education's Elementary Teacher Education Program goes back to the School of Education, which was established in 1982. In the Department of Elementary Education, approximately 400 prospective teachers receive a four-year undergraduate education covering general culture, field education and teaching profession knowledge and skills.

As a result of the evaluation made by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Teacher Education Programmes (EPDAD), our undergraduate programme in Elementary Education has been entitled to be accredited for a period of 3+2 years until 2029.
The aim of the programme is to train modern teachers equipped with the knowledge, skills and experience to provide education and training in the field of Elementary Education.

Department of Elementary Education continues its education with 6 Professors, 4 Associate Professors, 1 Assistant Professor, 2 Lecturers and 1 Research Assistant.
Application requirements;
Candidates must have a high school or equivalent school diploma and must have sufficient score from the University Student Selection Examination
To obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education;
he student must have successfully completed all of the professional knowledge, general culture and field education courses (equivalent to 240 ECTS in total) required in the programme,
The overall weighted grade point average must be at least 2.00 out of 4.00.
