Abstract | ||
The use of fossil fuel vehicles causes serious environmental pollution and increases greenhouse gasses as well as consuming limited natural resources across the world. Thus, the use of fossil fuels vehicles poses a threat for future generations. Nevertheless, in the recent period, there has been a significant tendency from the conventional cars which use gasoline, diesel and other fossil fuel to the environmentally friendly electric vehicles. Getting more attention to the electric vehicles, has been a promising advancement in order to protect ecosystems and limited natural resources. At this point, an important question arises as to which factors affect consumption decisions when purchasing electric vehicles, which are seen as a saving means of transportation. In this study, it was investigated that how environmental awareness, knowledge level, price perception and battery charging power affect consumer purchasing behavior while intending to purchase electric vehicles (car). For this purpose, a survey was conducted to measure the behavior of buyers. The data obtained was analyzed with SPSS 29. According to the findings obtained, it has been observed that consumers price perception of electric vehicles and the development of battery power of electric vehicles will have a positive impact on purchasing these vehicles. On the other hand, it was concluded that the environmental awareness and knowledge level of the survey participants did not affect their intention to purchase electric vehicles. |
