This year’s seminar guest for the Career Planning course of the Mathematics and Science Teaching programs was the esteemed administrators of Arena Schools. The seminar was held on December 19, 2024, between 09:30-10:30 at the Uğur Mumcu Hall of the Faculty of Education, Bursa Uludağ University (BUU). The participants included Mr. Celal Arslan, Chairman of the Board of Arena Schools; Mr. Yusuf Özbakır, General Coordinator of Arena Schools; and Mr. Oktay Acar, High School Principal of Arena Schools.

Attendees of the seminar included the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Salih Çepni; the Head of the Mathematics and Science Education Department, Prof. Dr. Rıdvan Ezentaş; the course instructor Prof. Dr. Nermin Bulunuz; Research Assistant H. Azize Malay; and first-year students of the Mathematics and Science Teaching programs.

In the seminar organized by Prof. Dr. Nermin Bulunuz, the course instructor, Mr. Celal Arslan shared his professional journey, offering insights into overcoming challenges, deriving lessons from experiences, setting goals, and crafting strategies for success. He also highlighted the importance of values that guide one’s path, creating a unique impact in one’s field, and embracing innovation. Sharing his leadership experiences in the sector, Mr. Arslan provided students with detailed guidance on how to approach their studies from the first year, the activities they should consider while preparing for their profession, and the precautions they should take when planning their careers.

The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Salih Çepni, who expressed gratitude to Mr. Arslan and his team for their participation.
