Exploring Informal Learning Environments with EU Projects: "Beyond School: Education Series I"
Organized in collaboration with Bursa Uludağ University, Faculty of Education, Science Education and Preschool Education Departments, the "Beyond School: Education Series I" seminar was held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at the Uğur Mumcu Hall, Block B, Faculty of Education.
The event, organized within the scope of the Out-of-School Learning Environments course by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dilek ZEREN ÖZER and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sema Nur GÜNGÖR, featured invited speakers Nilay ÇAKIR and Serpil KARAKİRAZ from İznik District National Education Directorate. The speakers shared their knowledge and experiences on the contributions of out-of-school learning environments to education, Youth Exchange Projects, European Voluntary Service Programs and projects carried out at İznik District National Education Directorate. The seminar was also attended by BUÜ R&D Coordinator Prof. Dr. Esra KARACA also supported by participating.
Faculty Goals and Contributions
This event was organized in accordance with the goals of the Faculty of Education, such as ensuring that students gain an inquiry-based teaching approach, encouraging scientific and social activities carried out jointly by students and faculty members, and organizing events that will create social awareness. Our faculty continues to train its graduates as experts in their fields and individuals open to international experience.
Introduction of European Union Programs
The seminar introduced the European Union's Youth Exchange Projects and European Voluntary Service Programs in detail. Speakers focused on the international experience and personal development opportunities these programs offer to students. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the application processes for the programs and the advantages they provide.
